As an Aziz Foundation Scholar at Birkbeck, University of London, his research delves into the histories of ‘race’ and racism, culture, ethnicity, and diaspora in post-war Britain. His studies offer critical insights into the systemic inequalities that persist today and inform his approach to driving meaningful change through evidence-based strategies.

I had the pleasure of working with Romain as part of Black History Month. His session “Redefining Narratives -Celebrating the History of African Leadership in the UK” was both insightful and thought provoking. When we were working on the session, Romain worked collaboratively with the team, listening to what we wanted to deliver and the key messages we wanted to land.
